These '90s Accessories Are Back On Trend

The 1990s was one of the trendiest decades. From colorful clothing to bright accessories, people (especially millennials) can’t get enough of the era’s strong influence. This year, Birkenstocks and crop tops are making a huge comeback among those with serious style portfolios. To complement this reimagining of '90s fashion, there are must-have accessories to make each of the era’s signature styles complete.

1. Butterfly Clips

These adorable butterfly clips became popular in the ‘90s thanks to our favorite childhood celebrities such as Britney Spears and S Club Juniors who included them in their style credentials. The bright colors were too cute to miss, and were perfect if you were growing out your bangs. Never worry about a bad hair day again!

2. Baby G Watch

This arm candy is still a big hit. Kids (and even kids at heart) feel cool wearing one. Who could resist a Baby G watch when its pastel pink or baby blue-colored timepiece was the height of ‘90s fashion? Despite its expensive price tag, teens are begging their parents to buy one for them just as much now as when they first came out.

Bandanas were selling like crazy back in the late 1990s. Why not? They make a stylish statement and can be worn in a variety of knots as a headscarf, bracelet, or neckerchief. When my childhood best friend migrated, we poured our hearts out by whining and pining. We made a pact to be each other’s BFF forever, so we needed something to remember each other by, despite the very long distance between us. We consoled our breaking hearts by buying best friend necklaces.
